Girls Tennis:
Marshall Fundamental was able to secure the No. 2 seed out of the Mission Valley League.
The Lady Eagles defeated their host from Rosemead, 11-7, on Thursday afternoon.
And it was the Marshall singles players that carried the load, winning eight of their nine matches.
Hannah Hagiwara (No. 1 singles) swept all three of her opponents.
No. 2 singles, Diana Kasabian, also went 3-0 at Rosemea.
Elena Edmonds (No. 3) earned two team points by going 2-1.
No. 2 doubles, Eunbee Ahn & Sophia Alpuche made a major contribution, winning two of their three matches.
Up next: Marshall will compete at next weekend’s Mission Valley League prelims.
