Girls Tennis:
As they’ve done all season, the Claremont High School doubles teams saved the day.
For the second time in two Palomares League matchups, CHS edged Bonita.
Three weeks ago, the Wolfpack defeated Bonita, 10-8, in La Verne.
Claremont trailed 7-5 as they headed into the final round, but won five of the six remaining matches.
This time, it was even closer.
Bonita and Claremont tied at 9-9.
But the Wolfpack won the tiebreaker, having a 77-72 advantage in games.
Their doubles programs went 7-2, while singles had just two wins in nine matches.
