Softball:
Glendora entered the bottom of the seventh inning with a 2-0 lead at Bonita.
The Tartans were three outs away from improved to 8-2 in Palomares League games.
However, the Bearcats rallied for four hits and took advantage of a GHS error, and BHS secured a 3-2 walk-off victory.
The Glendora and Bonita Game Changer differ on whether the last play was a hit or an error.
But with BHS as the home team, their book (or Game Changer) goes.
Gianna Messick went six-plus innings, and she was charged with three runs (one earned) on nine hits.
Messick issued two walks and fanned four BHS batters.
Skyy Hicks went 2-for-4, including the game-winning single.
Mia Guerrero went 1-for-3 with a walk and one RBI.
Camryn Van Valkenburgh singled twice and scored.
Audrey Garza singled and scored.
Sara Yeats and Leah Reynolds had one hit apiece for the Bearcats.
Serenity Reyes went all seven innings, and she allowed two runs on five hits.
Reyes didn’t issue a walk and registered four strikeouts.
Morgan Gonzalez had an RBI single in the top of the third and a solo HR in the sixth to give Glendora a 2-0 lead.
Lauren Curiel doubled, while Kennedy Bowers and Kylie Coleman had one single apiece to account for the rest of the Tartans’ offense.
Up next: The Tartans host Muir on Wednesday at 4.
And the Bearcats travel to Claremont on Thursday at 3:30.
