Cerritos handed Mt. SAC its first loss in 52 days.
The Falcons claimed an 11-4 South Coast Conference victory in Walnut.
Cerritos led 8-0 before Mt. SAC got scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Falcons (16) and Mounties (11) combined for 27 hits.
The visitors had a 5-2 edge in extra-base hits.
Nolan Patterson got the win after going seven innings and surrendering three runs (one earned) on nine hits.
Patterson walked three and fanned a trio of MSAC batters.
Jake Fowler got the final six outs, while allowing an unearned run on two hits and a walk.
Landon White, the state’s leading hitter, went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, one run and an RBI.
Noah Rodriguez drew a pair of walks, singled twice and scored.
Ty Thomas and Diego Ortiz singled and scored one run apiece.

Mateo Heredia singled twice, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Jake Fowler walked, singled and scored.
Evan Saito went 2-for-4 with two walks, a double, run and one RBI.
Diego Orozco drew three walks, singled, scored and drove in one run.
Brody Cuellas went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.
