Ayala Jumped on Chino Hills Early & Cruised to a 9-1 Road Victory; Bulldogs Out-Hit Huskies, 8-2

Ayala had arguably its most dominant performance of the 2025 season thus far.

The Bulldogs blew out a solid Chino Hills squad, 9-1, on Friday.

AHS out-hit CHHS, 8-2, and they led 9-0 in the fifth inning before the Huskies scored their lone run of the game.

Caleb Trugman earned the win after going five innings and allowing one run on two hits.

Trugman issued three walks and struck out seven CHHS batters.

Isaac Huver provided two scoreless and hitless innings in relief.

Huver walked one and fanned a pair of Huskies.

Branden Kim and Matt McCliman had one single apiece to account for the Chino Hills offense.

Brody Buoncristiani was saddled with the loss after surrendering seven runs (four earned) on seven hits over three innings.

Buoncristiani walked one and registered three strikeouts.

Codey Brown went 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI.

Jaden Valenzuela walked, singled and scored.

Dylan Wood walked, singled, scored and drove in a pair.

Easton Sarmiento went 2-for-4, scored twice and drove in one run.

Aidan Erlandsen singled and scored.

Jonah Boyd walked, singled and had one RBI.

Trugman walked and scored.

Up next: AHS and CHHS will both be in action on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs host Glendora at 3:30 in the Palomares League opener for both programs.

And the Huskies travel to Charter Oak in a nonleague contest at 3:15.
