Boys Basketball:
Damien trailed by 14 points as they entered the fourth quarter in the semifinal round of the Baseline League Tournament at Etiwanda High School.
The Spartans went on a 20-8 run.
DHS, however, ran out of time in a 43-41 loss to the Eagles.
Elijah Garner and Zaire Rasshan scored 10 points apiece for the Spartans.
And they combined for three 3-pointers, and 10 of Damien’s 20 fourth-quarter points.
Elijah Smith chipped in with seven points and Jacob Allen had six.
Ayden Hamilton had a game-high 11 points for EHS.
Hamilton went 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Sloane Harris chipped in with nine points and AJ Orji had eight.
Damien had a 5-3 advantage in 3-Pointers.
