To say Etiwanda is off to a solid start to the 2024 season would be a massive understatement.
The Eagles are 21-2.
EHS has won six consecutive matches, and 14 of their last 15.
Their success has resulted in a Southern Section ranking of 15th, and the Eagles currently sit at No. 40 in the MaxPreps state poll.
Etiwanda is also 4-0 in Baseline League play.
In fact, in wins over St. Lucy’s, Chino Hills, Rancho Cucamonga and Upland, the Eagles have dropped just one set.
This past week, EHS swept second-place RCHS and third-place Upland.
On Monday, Etiwanda defeated the Cougars by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-11.
Two days later, the Eagles cruised to a 25-16, 25-11 and 25-21 sweep of the Highlanders.
EHS senior, Brooke Hansen, has been invaluable at setting the table for the EHS offense.
In Monday’s win, Hansen totaled six kills on 11 attempts.
She had 31 assists, two aces, eight digs and a pair of blocks.
In the Upland match, Hansen finished with 29 assists, two kills, a pair of aces, and blocks, and eight digs.
