In 2022, Northview ended the longtime San Dimas reign atop the Valle Vista League standings.
Perhaps it was fitting that the Saints swept the Vikings this week to secure a second consecutive VVL championship.
SDHS defeated NHS, 16-2, on Wednesday, and 5-0 on Friday.
With two games to play, San Dimas has a three-game lead over Charter Oak and West Covina.
They extended their current VVL win streak to 24 games.
Kody King and Rocco Regan combined on a four-hit shutout.
King went three scoreless, allowing one hit, and striking out three.
Regan finished off NHS with four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and fanning four.
Rudy Rosales singled twice, and Joey Ramos had one base hit to account for the Vikings’ offense.
Daylon Nieblas got the loss after allowing five runs on six hits and two walks over four innings.
Vaughn Coleman doubled, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Jayden Claros doubled and scored.
Jude Favela singled, scored and drove in a second-inning run on a sac fly.
John Nauertz, Kasen Khansarinia and Jayden Medina had an RBI single.
Regan walked and scored.
