Baseball:

Muir had plans to rest and recoup during its Spring Break.

Mother Nature, however, made it necessary for the Mustangs to come back to campus and make up a rainout with Gabrielino that was originally scheduled for March 6th.

Conrad Hunziker IV controlled the Eagles throughout Tuesday’s 10-0 mercy-rule victory in six innings.

Hunziker went all six, and he allowed one hit.

He issued one walk and struck out 12 Gabrielino batters.

Hunziker fanned eight of the nine Eagles batters at least once.

Of his 78 pitches, 56 were strikes.

Carlos Ruiz had the lone GHS base hit.

Offensively, Hunziker helped his own cause in a big way.

He walked, singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.

Owen Grice walked, doubled, scored and had one RBI.

Max Huizar walked, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.

Arturo Ayers doubled, scored and had one RBI.

Bryant Soriano went 2-for-3, with a run and an RBI.

Fletcher Paddock walked twice and scored a pair of runs.

Khalil Rishwain walked and scored.
