Boys Basketball:

Some may have wondered if last week’s loss at Diamond Ranch would put any doubt in the minds of the San Dimas basketball program.

SDHS had a one-game lead in the Valle Vista League standings with two games to be played this week.

On Monday, the Saints cruised to a 17-point win over visiting Northview.

The last hurdle in the way to an outright VVL championship was their host from Covina High School.

And San Dimas mowed over the Colts, 64-45, and they finished 9-1 in league games.

SDHS used a 25-9 run in the third quarter to pull away from Covina.

Logan Hodson had another big with 18 points.

Ryan Quach chipped in with 15 points and Nathan Yearout had 13.

Devin Cevallos led Covina with 15 points.

Elvin Caballero finished with 13 for the Colts.

Every member of the San Dimas starting five had at least eight points.

Andrew Diep contributed 10 points and Levi Sinclair had eight.
