Ihiaso, Abilar & Ekpo Combine for 31 Points in Marshall Fundamental’s 55-10 Mission Valley League Victory Over South El Monte

Girls Basketball:

Marshall Fundamental is on pace to secure the No. 2 seed out of the Mission Valley League.

The Eagles crushed South El Monte, 55-10, on Wednesday.

With three games to play, second-place Marshall has a one-game lead over third-place Rosemead, and a one and one-half game advantage over Arroyo.

Marshall led 45-7 at the break, and 52-7 after three quarters.

Destiny Ihiaso led the way with 11 points.

Jolynn Abilar and Elizabeth Ekpo chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Perla Ramirez scored seven of South El Monte’s 10 points.

Up next: The Eagles travel to Arroyo on Friday at 5.
