Wrestling:
Walnut had a huge Saturday at the Montclair (Bob Bellot) Tournament.
The Mustangs claimed seven individual titles and totaled 275 points.
That was 102 points more than second-place Northview.
Walnut’s Ronnie Ramirez (113), Christian Garcia (126), Aaron Contreras (132), Noah Lopez (138), Brentley Macamay (144), Joseph Contreras (165) and 215-pound Frank Emeterio all won their weight class.’
Northview’s (173 team points) Elijah Butler and Aiden Pacheco pinned their way in 106 and 175 pound title matches.
Rancho Cucamonga’s Jayden Espinoza defeated Walnut’s Matthew Palacios in the 150-pound title bout.
Montclair’s Freddy Suri claimed a 5-1 victory over David Lopez (Buena) to secure the 157-pound weight class.
