Girls Basketball:
GHS opened its own tournament with an 84-24 victory over Garfield on Wednesday morning.
The Tartans led by 40 at the half and won by 60.
Brianna Gomez connected on six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points.
Rylie Anderson scored 20 points, which means she’s just 21 from becoming Glendora’s all-time leading scorer.
Addison Martin chipped in with 18 points and Reagan Herrmann had 10.
Jada Barnes led Garfield with 10 points.
Juliet Barnes contributed nine points in Wednesday’s loss.
Up next: Glendora will play the winner of today’s South Bakersfield-Burroughs Ridgecrest game on Thursday at 3:30.
