College Baseball:
Joey Peralta went seven strong innings in Mt. SAC’s 5-2 SCC victory over LA Harbor.
Peralta allowed just one earned run on four hits over seven innings.
He didn’t issue a walk and struck out eight.
Hunter Holmes provided two scoreless and hitless innings in relief.
Holmes didn’t walk a batter and fanned three.
Andrew Ravelo singled, doubled and scored.
Ethan Kang singled and had an RBI.
Julian Rodriguz singled, scored and drove in a run.
Jonathan Largaespada fell to 0-5 despite allowing just two runs (one earned) on three hits over five innings.
He walked one and struck out a pair of Mounties.
Mt. SAC got two more on one hit and a walk off DJ Orona, who did not record an out.
Gibby Morales went 3-for-4 and scored.
Joey Rossetti walked, singled and scored three runs.
Elijah Pelayo walked and had a pair of RBI ground outs.
Gabriel Rico scored, had an RBI ground out, and doubled in a run.
Up next: Mt. SAC will travel to LA Harbor on Thursday at 2:30.
