Baseball:
The Arcadia victory tour continued on Monday at Muir.
AHS cruised to a 13-1 Pacific League victory in five innings.
Fernando Palencia went four innings to earn the win, and he allowed an unearned run on two hits.
Palencia walked one and struck out seven Muir batters.
Brayden Herrera provided a scoreless inning of relief.
Conrad Hunziker had two of Muir’s five hits, and he scored their lone run.
Tarik Reese doubled for the Mustangs, while Owen Grice and Renee Contreras had one single apiece.
Hunziker was saddled with the loss.
He allowed four runs on three hits over 3 2/3 innings.
Hunziker issued five walks and struck out six AHS batters.
Arcadia got seven runs (six earned) off Eloheem Mahone on three hits and two walks.
Palencia helped his own cause, going 2-for-4 with a double, run and RBI.
Devon Eskridge walked, tripled, scored and had an RBI.
Avery Truesdale walked, singled, tripled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
Herrera walked, doubled, had one RBI and scored twice.
Christian Garcia walked, singled and scored.
Jerry Carlos walked twice and scored two runs.
Ben Cooper had an RBI and scored twice.
Up next: The Apaches and Mustangs are both in action on Tuesday.
Arcadia travels to Glendale at 3:30, and weather permitting, Muir is scheduled to play at CV with the first pitch set for 6 pm.
