Girls Basketball:
Of the three Palomares League co-champions, no one finished stronger than did Bonita High School.
The Bearcats officially wrapped up their share of the league title with Thursday’s 56-24 victory over visiting Colony.
To get to this point, however, BHS needed consecutive wins on Friday and Tuesday over first-place co-leaders, Claremont and Glendora.
As far as Thursday goes, Amore Mason hit three 3’s and scored a game-high 20 points.
Cassie Upton had eight, Nicole Uballe seven, Maria Aguiar and Tressa Beatty chipped in with five points.
Five separate players had at least one 3-pointer for the Bearcats.
