Boys Basketball:
The La Salle boys’ basketball program finished the SoCal Christmas Classic in much better shape than when it started.
After losses to Littlerock and Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies, the Lancers found themselves mired in an eight-game losing streak.
However, La Salle edged Upland, 46-43, on Saturday.
And they closed out the tournament with a 68-53 victory over Hart.
The Lancers took a 55-34 lead into the fourth period, and the outcome was never in doubt.
Emmitt Claiborne led the La Salle offense with 16 points.
Enzo Trejo chipped in with 12 points.
And Diego Bernal chipped in with 10 points in Monday’s win.
Up next: The Lancers will battle Cypress on Saturday at noon at the Real Run Winter Classic Showcase at Morningside High School.
