Boys Basketball:
Etiwanda finished 2-2 in the Gold Division at the prestigious Damien Classic.
The Eagles edged Etiwanda, 61-57, in Monday’s final round.
EHS and CHS were tied at the half, and both programs entered the fourth quarter at 36-36.
The Eagles avenged a six-point loss (60-54) loss just over a month ago.
Etiwanda had to overcome 44 points from Chatsworth’s Alijah Arenas.
Arenas scored all 21 of the Chancellors fourth-quarter points.
Devin Mitchell led the Eagles with 18 points, and Sloane Harris chipped in with 14.
Jacob Coleman scored all 12 of his points from beyond the 3-point arc.
Up next: The Eagles travel to Damien next Wednesday at 6:30 in the Baseline League opener for both programs.
