Baseball:
Covina scored one run in both the seventh and eighth innings to edge West Covina, 5-4, in their regular season finale.
The Colts erased an early 4-0 deficit and finished fourth in the Valle Vista League.
Andrew Frausto went four innings and allowed four runs on six hits and four walks.
Eddie Vazquez got the win after going four scoreless innings of relief.
Vazquez allowed two hits, walked one and struck out three WCHS batters.
Edwin Segovia doubled and drove in a pair of runs for WCHS.
Evan Buhac, Frank Hernandez and Victor Mendoza singled and scored one run each.
Tony Macon singled twice in Friday’s loss.
Steven De Luna had an RBI and Jacob Nguyen scored a run.
The Bulldogs’ Kevin Jimenez got the loss after allowing the eighth-inning run on one hit and a walk.
Adrian Flores went seven innings for WCHS, and surrendered four runs on 10 hits.
Flores didn’t issue a walk and struck out one Covina batter.
Mark Manuel singled twice, tripled, scored and had an RBI.
It was Manuel’s RBI base hit in the bottom of the eighth that scored the game-winning run.
Mike Bang went 2-for-4, with an RBI.
Jaime Lopez singled, scored and had two RBIs.
Anthony Cordova singled, scored and had an RBI.
Frausto singled and scored.
