Baseball:
SGV area baseball programs will finish off their regular season schedules this week.
And there is still plenty of drama ahead.
Etiwanda holds a one-game lead over Rancho Cucamonga in the Baseline League title chase after winning two of three this past week with the Cougars.
The Eagles have a three-game series with fourth-place Upland, and the Cougars will battle third-place Damien.
Northview needs just one win in their two-game Valle Vista League series with Charter Oak to claim an outright VVL championship.
If the Chargers were to sweep the Vikings, it would set up a three-way title share with Northview, Charter Oak and San Dimas.
Marshall Fundamental and Arroyo are tied atop the Mission Valley League standings with two MVL games to play.
The Eagles face fifth-place South El Monte on Tuesday and host third-place Mountain View on Thursday.
Arroyo travels to winless El Monte on Tuesday, and two days later, they head to Rosemead, who sits in sixth place in the MVL standings.
Arcadia has a two-game set with Crescenta Valley.
The Apaches enter the final stretch in a two-way tie for first with Burroughs.
The Bears will meet up Burbank twice this week, and the Bulldogs are just one-game back of both Arcadia and Burroughs.
Monrovia can wrap up the outright Rio Hondo League championship with a win on Wednesday over visiting and second-place South Pasadena.
And there are four SGV area programs that have already secured a league championship, including Bonita (Palomares), Flintridge Prep (Prep), Maranatha (Olympic) and South Hills (Hacienda).
