Flintridge Prep rode the arm and bat of Max Brunngraber in a 3-1 victory at Chadwick.
The Prep League champions improved to 9-2 in league games.
Nathaniel Castro went the distance and surrendered three runs (two earned) on five hits.
He walked three and fanned four Wolves’ batters.
Brunngraber walked and had a two-run single in the top of the fifth to give Flintridge Prep a 2-0 lead.
Nathan Park singled twice and scored.
Brian Xu singled and scored.
Josh Beserra walked and scored for the Wolves.
On the mound, Brunngraber allowed just an unearned run on five hits to earn the win.
He walked two and fanned 10 Chadwick batters.
Of his 111 pitches, Brunngraber threw 74 for strikes.
Josh Goodman doubled and scored.
Becket Meisel singled twice for the Dolphins.
Up next: The Wolves have two games to play in the regular season.
On Friday, Flintridge Prep travels to Nogales, and four days later, they travel to Providence.
