Pasadena Defeats Arcadia For First Time in Eight Years; Joe Bacon Goes Distance in Tuesday’s 8-1 Victory

Baseball:

Pasadena picked up their first victory over Arcadia since April 8th of 2014.

The Bulldogs got six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and went on to defeat the Apaches, 8-1, on Tuesday.

Joe Bacon went the distance to earn the win.

Bacon allowed one run on four hits.

He walked two and fanned three Apaches’ batters.

Of his 86 pitches on Tuesday, Bacon threw 56 for strikes.

Alex Dolan walked and scored.

Daniel Chavez singled twice and had Arcadia’s lone RBI.

Ari Nurhadi and Devon Eskridge had one single apiece to account for the rest of the AHS offense.

Pasadena got three runs and three hits off Nicholas Choy, Jaden Liu and Lance Wong, respectively.

Evan Coad walked, doubled and scored twice.

Casey Skett had three singles, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Ben Griffith singled, scored and had two RBIs.

Miguel Yepez walked, singled, scored and drove in one run.

Justin Goldman went 2-for-4, with an RBI.

With three league games to play, Arcadia and Burroughs sit atop the Pacific League standings with identical 9-2 records.

Up next: PHS travels to Arcadia on Friday to complete their two-game, Pacific League series.
