Juliana Canizales throws a five-inning no-hitter in a 19-0, Montview League victory at Gladstone.
Canizales walked two and fanned six Gladiators’ batters.
With three games to play (two in league), Azusa trails third-place Sierra Vista by one game.
Offensively, the Aztecs dropped the hammer on Gladstone pitching with 24 hits, including seven of the extra-base variety.
Canizales helped her own cause with a walk, single, triple, three runs scored and two RBIs.
Raelene Rodriguez went 4-for-4, with three singles, a triple, four runs and an RBI.
Kailee Miller had two doubles, three runs and four RBIs.
Jackie Castaneda also went 4-for-4, with a run and five RBIs.
Mia Pedroza walked, singled twice, doubled, drove in a pair of runs and scored twice.
Angelian Correos singled and scored four times.
Claudia Barron had two singles, scored and drove in a run.
Natalie Sosa walked, singled twice, scored and had an RBI.
Isabel Batista had an RBI single.
And Alexandra Caballero doubled twice and singled in Tuesday’s blowout victory.
