College Baseball:
PCC picked up season victory No. 27 on Saturday, and the Lancers extended their current win streak to 10 games.
In a contest that featured 36 combined hits, the Lancers outlasted Rio Hondo College, 10-8.
PCC remained in a first-place tie with Mt. SAC, as the Mounties swept ELAC.
El Camino and LBCC are just one-game back of the Lancers and Mounties.
PCC got three runs on three hits off David Medrano, who did not retire a batter.
And Johnathan Siwiecki surrendered six runs on 10 hits over his three innings.
Jake Trabbie went 4-for-6, with three runs and an RBI.
Jakob Guardado singled twice, doubled, drove in two and scored three runs.
Aryonis Harrison walked, singled twice, scored and had two RBIs.
Andrew Scannell went 2-for-4, with an RBI.
Raider Tello walked, singled twice, doubled and scored.
Max Blessinger had an RBI single.
Toshiki Kuriya singled and scored.
Matt Delgado had an RBI single and he was hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded.
Collin Johnson doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Rio Hondo got three runs off Coleman Mitchell on seven hits.
Mitchell went three innings, didn’t issue a walk and fanned one.
Kyle Noel got the win after his two scoreless innings of relief.
Rider Gardner surrendered three runs on three hits in one inning.
Nicco Day got the save, going three innings and allowing two runs on four hits and one walk.
Dylan Schumacher singled and hit a solo HR for Rio Hondo.
Rafael Flores singled twice, homered, scored twice and had a pair of RBIs.
Joshua Perez walked, singled three times, scored and drove in one run.
Jordan Salgado tripled, scored and had an RBI.
Joseph Angulo singled and scored.
Diego Flores singled, doubled and drove in one run.
Josh Hernandez singled twice in Saturday’s win.
Stephen Chavez singled, drove in a run and scored.
Gabriel Rico went 2-for-5 and scored.
Up next: PCC travels to LA Valley on Monday afternoon.
