And it was Maranatha that claimed a 6-5, nine-inning victory over visiting Charter Oak.
Anthony Vasquez allowed three runs on four hits for the Chargers.
Vasquez went four innings, walked three and struck out five MHS batters.
Evan Avitia got touched up for three runs (two earned) on five hits.
Avita walked three and fanned three in his 4 1/3 innings.
Angelo Aleman’s ninth-inning single scored Adrian Lopez with the game winner.
Dylan Zdunek singled, tripled, scored and drove in two runs.
Lopez singled three times, walked and scored.
Nick Cook walked, doubled, scored twice and had one RBI.
Cider Canon and Donovan Gonsal had an RBI base hit.
Bryan Richman walked twice and scored.
COHS got three runs on six hits and two walks off Ebner, an unearned run on two hits and three walks from Jackson Hisey, and one run on three hits off Jack Stipa.
