Spencer Seid Throws 5-Inning No-Hitter & Stikes Out 8 in Flintridge Prep’s 11-0 Victory Over Providence

For the second time in a week, a Flintridge Prep pitcher has thrown a no-hitter.

Last Thursday, Max Brunngraber accomplished that feat at Alhambra, and today, Spencer Seid no-hit Providence in a five-inning, 11-0 victory over the Pioneers.

The Wolves answered back emphatically after the last-place Pioneers handed Flintridge Prep their first Prep League loss on Tuesday.

Seid walked two and got eight of his 15 outs via strikeout.

Of his 65 pitches on Thursday, Seid threw 47 for strikes.

Andrew Malong got the loss after allowing eight runs (four earned) on four hits and five walks.

Malong went four innings and struck out four Wolves’ batters.

Seid helped his own cause with a double, run and three RBIs.

JR Kully doubled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Max Brunngraber tripled and scored twice.

Will Koh singled, scored and had an RBI.

Josh Beserra singled and scored.

Nick Gonzalez walked three times, scored and had an RBI.

Graham DesHotel walked three times and scored a pair of runs.

Joey Andrews walked and scored.

Up next: The Wolves will travel to Monrovia and get a good test on Saturday morning from the Wildcats.
