Marshall Fundamental earned the two-game Mission Valley League sweep of second-place Arroyo on Monday.
The Eagles won a 12-8 slugfest in a game that featured 27 combined hits, including seven of the extra-base variety.
Travis Delgado went four innings and allowed eight runs (four earned) on 11 hits.
He walked two and struck out five.
Conrad Hunziker kept Arroyo off the scoreboard over the final three innings to secure the win.
Hunziker allowed just one hit, walked four and fanned five Knights’ batters.
Erick Sanchez doubled twice, scored and drove in four runs, and Derek Plantillas walked, singled, doubled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Joseph Enriguez singled twice and scored two runs.
Julian Barajas was saddled with the loss.
He gave up eight runs on seven hits in just one inning of work.
Nine separate Marshall players had at least one hit in Monday’s win.
Wes Pendleton singled twice, scored and had an RBI.
Sam Karp singled, drove in two and scored twice.
Jacob Hernandez went 2-for-4 and scored one run.
Caleb Delgado singled and scored, and Travis Delgado singled, doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs.
Andrew Quijada had two singles, two RBIs and scored once.
Nick Chew had three singles and scored twice.
Trevor Lain singled, scored and the freshman had a team-high three RBIs.
Conrad Hunziker scored and had an RBI.
Devan Kelly doubled in the win.
