Baseball:
Marshall Fundamental improved to 4-1 in Mission Valley League play with a 4-3 victory over South El Monte.
Conrad Hunziker went four innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits.
He walked two and struck out four.
Wes Pendleton provided three scoreless innings of relief, allowing just one hit.
Pendleton walked and struck out two apiece.
Offensively, Devan Kelly tripled and had two RBIs.
Jacob Hernandez went 2-for-4, with a run and RBI.
Nick Chew walked three times, singled and scored three runs.
Andrew Quijada doubled and Sam Karp singled in Wednesday’s win.
Up next: Marshall will travel to Mountain View on Friday.
