Pasadena accomplished two big things on Friday.
The Bulldogs picked up Pacific League victory No. 1.
And they handed Burroughs its first league setback.
PHS scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat the Bears, 3-0.
Ben Griffith went seven scoreless innings for the Bulldogs to earn the win.
Griffith surrendered just one hit, walked two and struck out four Burroughs batters.
Miguel Yepez earned the save with a scoreless eighth inning.
Nick Forrest had an exceptional outing for Burroughs, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and striking out 13.
Sebastian Zamora got the loss after surrendering three eighth-inning runs.
Justin Goldman singled and drove in two runs.
Jabbari Salahuddin went 2-for-4 and scored.
Casey Skett singled, scored and had an RBI.
Evan Coad singled and scored.
