Baseball:
Two days after Bonita snapped Ayala’s 16-game win streak, the Palomares League champs roughed up the Bearcats, 11-0, in the regular season finale.
Ayala out-hit Bonita, 13-3.
Thomas Cerecedes dominated throughout, going six scoreless innings and allowing three hits to earn the win.
He didn’t walk anyone and struck out three Bearcats’ batters.
Jeremy Byers went the seventh for the Bulldogs and struck out one.
Edrian Rangel doubled and both Luke Mistone and JT Fenton singled to account for the Bonita offense.
Edrian Rangel got roughed up for eight runs (six earned) on 10 hits.
Rangel went 4 1/3 innings, didn’t walk anyone and struck out one.
Ayala got three more runs off of Seth Wrightstone on three hits.
Ty Borgogno went 3-for-4, with a double, RBI and two runs scored.
Cole Koniarsky singled, doubled, scored and had three RBIs.
Mateo Matthews singled, scored and drove in a run.
Troy McCain singled, doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Luke Solis singled, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Ryan Moreno homered and had two RBIs.
Marcus Galvan walked and scored and Jacob Badawi scored a run.
Damien Delgadillo singled, tripled and scored.
