The only thing better than going undefeated in Pacific League play, is having to sweep Crescenta Valley to accomplish that feat.

Three days after clinching the league championship (7-5), Arcadia shut out the Falcons, 8-0, at Stengel Field.

It’s the Apaches first unscathed Pacific League run in 11 years.

Chico State commit Julian Eskridge was nails.

Eskridge went six scoreless innings and allowed just two hits.

He walked one and struck out six.

Eskridge forced 10 ground balls on 80 pitches.

Brendon Pehar went four innings and picked up the loss.

Pehar surrendered three runs on six hits, walked three and struck out a pair of Apaches’ batters.

Eskridge helped his own cause at the plate.

He walked, singled, scored twice and had an RBI.

Mikey Easter walked, singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored.

Brandon Nguyen walked twice, singled and scored.

Daniel Chavez and Devon Eskridge both had RBI singles.

Matthew McIntire singled twice and scored.

Ari Nurhadi walked, singled, scored and had an RBI.
