Maranatha Clinches at Least Share of Olympic League Title; Minutemen Defeat Heritage Christian, 10-0, in Six Innings

Maranatha clinched at least a share of yet another Olympic League title on Tuesday night.

The Minutemen defeated Heritage Christian, 10-0, in six innings.

With one game to play, MHS holds a one-game advantage over second-place Valley Christian.

Davis Cornwell went the first four scoreless innings.

Cornwell allowed one hit, walked one and struck out two.

Patrick DeMarco closed out the final two innings and the victory without any damage.

Sean Roen got lit up for 10 runs (nine earned) on nine hits over his 5 1/3 innings.

He walked four and struck out one MHS batter.

Daniel Ruiz went 2-for-4, with a double, an RBI and three runs.

Nick Cook singled, tripled and drove in a pair of runs.

Ryan Mittelman walked, singled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Ben Staub singled, scored and had an RBI.

Dylan Zdunek walked, tripled, drove in three runs and scored once.

Kade Bowden singled, doubled and drove in one run.

Up next: Maranatha will travel to Heritage Christian on Thursday to close out their regular season schedule.

First pitch is slated for 2:30.
