Cataldo Goes 4 Scoreless in RCHS’ 6-0 Victory Over Etiwanda; Cougars 1-Game Back of 2nd Place CHHS

With Friday’s 6-0 victory, Rancho Cucamonga won its three-game series with Etiwanda, 2-1.

And they bounced back from a disappointing loss on Tuesday.

Nicholas Cataldo got the win after going four scoreless innings.

Cataldo allowed two hits, walked two and struck out one Eagles’ batter.

Justin Hines (two innings) and Eddie Rocha (one) combined to close out the final three innings without any damage.

Abraham Zapata went 2-for-4, and Armando Briseno, Michai Harrison, Kaedon Moss and Michael Harrison had one hit apiece for Etiwanda.

Jorge Solares was stuck with the loss.

Solares went four innings and allowed six runs on 10 hits.

He walked two and fanned a pair of Cougars’ batters.

Ryan Farr singled, scored twice and hit a solo home run.

Eddie Rocha singled and scored.

Wilson Dunn went 3-for-4, with an RBI and run scored.

Jake Brown singled twice and scored.

Jayden Lopez walked, singled twice and scored.

Michael Woodward singled and drove in two runs.

Noel Cesena had two RBIs in the win.
