Damien pounded out 22 hits in Friday’s 19-9 victory over Upland.
The Spartans won the Baseline League series, two games to one.
Daniel Barrera was charged with eight runs (five earned) on four over his two innings on Friday.
He walked five and struck out two.
Seth Sumner went three innings, allowing one run on two hits and he struck out two Upland batters.
Nolan Powley provided two scoreless innings and allowed one run, walked two and fanned a pair of Highlanders.
Dominic Haro went 3-for-5, with two runs and three RBIs for Upland.
Damien senior Kaden Moeller was a beast, going 5-for-6.
Moeller doubled, scored three runs and had four RBIs.
Matt Clark walked, singled and scored three runs.
Nate Hellein doubled twice and drove in three runs.
Ivan Aguirre walked, singled twice, scored two runs and had an RBI.
Sebastian Arguelles walked, singled three times, scored twice and drove in one run.
Robby Mansour walked, tripled, scored two runs and had three RBIs.
JD Dunn went 3-for-5, with three runs and an RBI.
Christian Grino singled three times, scored twice and drove in one run.
Dane Flashberg singled, scored and drove in a run, and Alec Beck had an RBI single.
Up next: Damien will host Los Osos, and Upland will welcome Rancho Cucamonga.
