South Hills Gets 2-Game, Hacienda League Sweep of Diamond Bar; Lorenzano Goes 4 Scoreless in 7-2 Victory

Baseball:

South Hills got the two-game sweep of Diamond Bar on Thursday.

The Huskies got four scoreless innings from Matthew Lorenzano and defeated the Brahmas, 7-2, in a Hacienda League contest.

Lorenzano allowed three hits, walked two and struck out three to earn the win.

Athen Malone, Dylan Esquivel and Ethan Lee each provided one inning of relief.

Matthew Fernando singled twice and scored, and Jacob Davaloz had an RBI base hit for Diamond Bar.

South Hills got three runs off of both Ethan King and Ryan Lewis and one from Max Buchanan.

Marcus Rosales singled twice and scored two runs.

Andrew Ramirez singled, drove in two runs and scored.

Gilbert Morales walked, had an RBI double and scored.

Kai Penuelas singled, doubled, had an RBI and run scored.

Matthew Yanez walked, had an RBI double and scored.

Jeremiah Sibrian walked twice and scored once.

Up next: South Hills will host Crescenta Valley on Saturday at 1 in a tournament game.

And starting on Tuesday, the Huskies travel to Rowland for the first of two Hacienda League games with the Raiders next week.
