Mikey Ebner went five strong innings and allowed just one run in Maranatha’s 9-1 victory at Whittier Christian.
Ebner scattered five hits, walked one and struck out eight.
Eric Morrison was saddled with the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits.
He walked five and struck out six MHS batters.
Will Allen walked twice, homered, scored three times and drove in a pair of runs.
Nick Sartor singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Ebner helped his own cause with a walk, single, RBI and run scored.
Daniel Ruiz singled, tripled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Nick Cook walked, singled and scored and Adrian Lopez walked, singled, scored and drove in a run.
Ryan Mittelman walked and singled twice.
Up next: Maranatha will host Whittier Christian on Friday at 4.
