Ethan Sanders was nails on the mound for St. Francis on Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Knights’ senior allowed just one earned run on seven hits.

He walked one and struck out seven in a 7-2 victory over visiting Loyola.

It took Sanders 93 pitches to close out the Cubs.

Daniel Marquez walked, tripled and scored.

Luca DiPaolo collected two singles and Lane Johnson had an RBI base hit for Loyola.

David Case was stuck with the loss.

Case allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits over his four innings of work.

He walked three and struck out seven.

Diego Robles went 4-for-4, including a double, two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.

Kiko Robles doubled and scored for the Golden Knights.

Luke Fogarty singled and drove in a pair of runs.

Luke Crawshaw singled, scored and had an RBI in the win.

Tommy Italia walked and scored twice.

Up next: St. Francis will travel to Loyola tomorrow (Wednesday) and then the Cubs will visit the Glendale Sports Complex on Friday to finish the three-game series.
