Damien pounded out 17 hits in Monday’s 13-4, Baseline League opening victory over Etiwanda.

Dylan Alanis was credited with the win, going 3 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on six hits.

He walked three and struck out five Etiwanda batters.

Armando Briseno walked twice, singled and scored.

Jack Holman walked and had an RBI double.

Michael Harrison went 2-for-4, with an RBI.

Yahir Ramirez singled twice and scored.

Alfredo Capacete was stuck with the loss.

Capacete surrendered five runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks over two innings.

Ivan Aguirre doubled twice, scored and had two RBIs.

Matt Clark walked, singled, doubled and scored two runs.
