Luke Bauer Goes Five Scoreless & Strikes Out Nine in Northview’s 9-4 Victory at Colony

Northview is getting a couple tune-up games before starting Valle Vista League play next Wednesday with San Dimas.

On Thursday, the Vikings defeated Colony, 9-4, in Ontario.

Luke Bauer went five scoreless innings and allowed just one hit.

Bauer walked two and struck out nine Colony batters.

After the Titans got three runs (two earned) off of Josh Morago, Ethan Galindo came in and closed the door.

He got four of his six outs via strikeout.

Dominic Gonzalez singled, doubled and scored, Nathan Valdivia singled, scored and had an RBI and Oscar Morales singled and drove in a pair of runs for the Titans.

Cade Willis got the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits over his 4 1/3 innings of work.

He walked two and struck out one Northview batter.

The Vikings got five more runs (three earned) off Dominic Gonzalez on five hits.

Dean Curley singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.

Eligh Hidalgo went 3-for-3, with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

Andrew Baltazar doubled, tripled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Ivan Barragan singled and scored a pair of runs.

Nick Peoples singled twice and Dylan Ramos walked and scored.

Gilbert Lopez and Micah Hidalgo had an RBI.

Up next: Northview will travel to Eleanor Roosevelt High in Eastvale Friday.

First pitch is set for 3:15.
