Crescenta Valley added to Muir’s brutal beginning to the 2021 baseball season.

After getting swept by Glendale last week, CV put up 12 first-inning runs and cruised to a 20-2 beatdown of the Mustangs.

Noah Maddox tripled, homered, scored three runs and drove in seven.

Jameson Ferraro doubled, homered, scored twice and had five RBIs.

Maddox went three scoreless innings to get the win.

He walked two and struck out five Muir batters.

Myles Sotomayor walked and had an RBI double for Muir.

Jack Clougherty singled and scored.

Up next: Muir and CV will finish the second of their two-game series at Stengel Field on Friday.

First pitch is set for 7.
