Baseball:
Ayala opened Palomares League play with a bang.
The Bulldogs hammered three Alta Loma pitchers for 17 hits, including seven of the extra-base variety.
Ayala would go on to defeat the Braves, 18-2.
Andreas Pasillas got the win.
Pasillas went the first four innings, allowing two unearned runs on six hits.
He didn’t walk a batter and struck out five.
Bryan Yang closed out the victory with three scoreless innings of relief, and struck out four.
Andrew Vasquez and David Gonzalez had two hits apiece for the Braves.
Christian Lopez got the loss for Alta Loma.
Lopez surrendered 10 runs (eight earned) on nine hits over 3 2/3 innings.
Jacob Badawi singled, tripled, scored and drove in four runs.
Cole Koniarsky singled, homered and drove in three runs.
Ty Borgogno had a two-RBI double and scored once.
Mateo Matthews singled, homered and had two RBIs.
Luke Solis walked, singled and scored.
Troy McCain doubled twice, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Ryan Moreno singled twice and scored two runs.
Marcus Galvan went 3-for-4, including a walk, two singles, a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Damien Delgadillo walked twice, singled, scored two runs and drove in one.
