One day after allowing 10 runs, the Damien pitching staff got stingy.

Dylan Alanis and Kaden Moeller mowed down Redondo Union, 1-0, on Thursday.

Alanis went the first five innings, scattering four hits, he didn’t walk anyone and struck out five.

Moeller allowed one hit and walked a batter, but ‘the closer’ secured the save by getting five of his six outs via strikeout.

Kelso Burke, Ethan Felix, Shane Shafer, Joseph Replogle and Noah Williams had one single apiece to account for Redondo Union’s offense.

Conner Corlette was saddled with the loss.

He allowed one run on two hits over his four innings of work.

Corlette walked four and struck out four Damien batters.

Ivan Aguirre walked and scored the game’s lone run in the first inning.

Alec Beck and Jason Armendarez had two hits each to account for Damien’s offense.
