Baseball:

Northview continues to get production throughout its lineup.

And that included Thursday’s 13-4 victory over Walnut.

Luke Bauer went the first 4 2/3 innings and picked up the win.

Bauer allowed four runs on seven hits, walked four and struck out one

Matt Pachuca closed out the Mustangs with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out one Mustangs’ batter.

After two scoreless innings to begin Thursday’s game, the Northview offense scored in each of the final five innings.

And that included two in the third, five in the fourth, two in the sixth and three more in the seventh inning.

Apparently Walnut heard what Dean Curley’s been doing all week with his bat.

The Mustangs allowed Curley just one official at-bat, walking him three times, but he scored twice and had an RBI.

Eligh Hidalgo and Noah Young both singled and scored.

Andrew Baltazar walked, doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs.

Luke Bauer helped his own cause with an RBI double.

Matt Pachuca walked and had an RBI base hit.

Nick Peoples walked twice, singled, scored and drove in one run.

Diego Frey singled and scored.

Ivan Barragan went 2-for-3, with a walk, two singles, two runs scored and an RBI.

Moses Medrano went 3-for-3, with a walk, two runs and two RBIs.

Andrew Olivas drove in a run in the win.
