Baseball:
Three Charter Oak pitchers combined on a 1-hit shutout on Monday afternoon.
The Chargers defeated visiting Nogales, 7-0, scoring each of their seven runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Anthony Vasquez went the first three innings, allowing one hit, walking five and striking out three.
Diego Ortiz and Chris Sanchez both contributed two perfect innings of relief apiece.
Ortiz had one strikeout and Sanchez fanned a pair of Nobles.
Nathan Carmonte got the loss, after allowing seven runs (two earned) in the bottom of the third inning.
In all, Carmonte surrendered eight hits, walked one and fanned a pair of Charter Oak batters.
Chris Ceballos singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Aaron Osorio had a two-RBI double and he scored once.
Anthony Vasquez singled and scored.
Diego Ortiz singled, scored and had an RBI.
Chris Sanchez singled, drove in a pair of runs and scored.
Ethan Milleson went 2-for-3, with an RBI and run scored.
