Rancho Cucamonga erupted for 11 runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined and went on to defeat Nogales, 13-6, on Saturday.
Jacob Ayala was saddled with the loss for the Nobles.
Ayala surrendered seven runs and six hits over his 2 2/3 innings of work.
He walked three and fanned three RCHS batters.
Six of the Cougars nine hits were of the extra-base variety.
Drew Copelan tripled and drove in three runs.

Brensen Hyde closed out the victory with 1 1/3 perfect innings of relief.
Nathan Rodriguez went 2 for 6 for the Nobles, and that included a double and two runs scored.
Joey Ruelas doubled and drove in a pair of runs in the loss.
After Friday’s 9-8 victory over Esperanza, Rancho Cucamonga is now 2-0 on the season.
