Flag Football:

It’s been far from an ideal start to the 2026 season for the San Dimas flag football program.

The Saints entered Wednesday’s rivalry showdown at Bonita with just two wins in their first 10 games.

However, SDHS gave the Bearcats a run for their money.

Bonita scored with just under two minutes to play in a 13-6 victory over San Dimas.

The Saints got on the board early in the second quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Carlie Veas rolled to her left and scored on an 8-yard run to take a 6-0 lead.

Bonita sophomore Peyton Mann got the Bearcats even with her 55-yard TD reception.

The game winning score came on a 3-yard TD run by Laila Washington.

Kendra Anderson went 6-for-14 for 78 yards.

Anderson tossed the TD to Mann and she was picked three times.

Amerie Verduzco completed 4-for-9 for 54 yards.

Verduzco threw one interception, and she followed Washington’s late TD run by converting the extra-point attempt with her feet.

Mann finished with 132 all-purpose yards, including 85 on 4 receptions.

Washington reeled in three passes for 25 yards.

Defensively, Ava Flores led the way with 10 tackles, including three for-loss.

Hayden Andrew totaled six tackles.

And Julia Bowman two tackles, including a sack.

Up next: The Bearcats open Palomares League action on Wednesday, as they host Ayala at 7:15.
