Ayala High School Announces the Departure of Head Football Coach AJ Gracia; Search is Underway for Bulldogs Next Leader

Chino Hills, CA — After nine remarkable seasons as the head football coach of Ruben S. Ayala High School, AJ Gracia has announced that he is stepping down to focus on pursuing his administrative credential.

During his tenure, Coach Gracia upheld the Ayala Bulldogs football program’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and dedication.

Under his leadership, the Bulldogs achieved a 59-35 overall record with 25-11 in league play, five (5) league titles, and developed countless student-athletes both on and off the field.

“Coach Gracia has been an incredible leader for our football program and a role model for our student-athletes,” said Athletic Director Warren Reed. “His impact goes beyond wins and losses. He has shaped the character and future of so many young men. While we will miss his presence on the sidelines, we are thrilled to see him take the next step in his professional journey.”

In addition to his coaching success, Coach Gracia has been a valued member of the Ayala High School faculty.

As an AP Government and Economics teacher, he encouraged his football players to challenge themselves academically as they prepare for life after high school.

His decision to pursue his administrative credential demonstrates his dedication to education and his desire to make a positive impact in the academic community. Coach Gracia has left the program in a strong position to succeed for years to come.

The search for Ayala High School’s next head football coach will begin immediately.
