Volleyball:
Duarte closed out the nonleague portion of their schedule having won four consecutive matches.
It’s also the Falcons first time being over the .500 mark in eight years.
DHS secured a four-game victory at Bassett.
Duarte won by scores of 25-12, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-13.
Abigail Miranda and Rachel Guardado had another great game in the front row, while their two liberos, Lily Barnett and Yzabella Valerio, had a strong defensive game.
Victoria Zaragoza had another strong outing with 15 kills, five aces and a block.
Janessa Ureña clutched up and provided seven aces in the fourth set.

We have a bit of momentum going into league, but we also know how much work needs to be done as we face teams that we’ve struggled with in the past.
