Flag Football:
For the first time all season, the Glendora flag football team was challenged.
Prior to Monday’s showdown with their visitors from Covina, the Tartans’ 21-point victory over Alta Loma back on August 17th was their closest game.
The Colts actually took a one-point lead into the break, but GHS would persevere in a 25-20 victory.
Through the first seven games of 2026, Glendora has outscored Temple City, Charter Oak, Arroyo, Alta Loma, La Quinta, Sierra Vista and Covina by a combined margin of 285-44.
Rylee Franks was 16-of-22 for 283 yards.
Franks tossed four TD passes and was picked twice.
Olivia Schitea had four receptions for 117 yards and two TDs.
Siena Bobadilla totaled three catches for 96 yards and one score.
On the defensive side of the ball, Bobadilla had a team-high 11 flag pulls.
Mia Yamazaki caught five passes for 43 yards and one TD, and defensively, she had five tackles.
Emily Husang provided five flag pulls, four pass deflections and an interception.
Naiya Rosario finished with five tackles, including three sacks.
