Etiwanda bounced back nicely from Monday’s 6-3 Baseline League opening loss at Damien.

The Eagles cruised to a 10-4 victory over their visitors from La Verne.

EHS jumped on DHS early and never trailed.

Michael Aleman went 6 2/3 innings to earn the win.

Aleman surrendered four runs on seven hits.

He walked three and struck out nine.

AJ Salazar got the final out.

Jackson Annigian went 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI.

Oliver Hines singled and scored.

Brady Bickham walked and scored.

Russell Del Castillo had an RBI double.

Pietro Rose walked and drove in a run on a single.

Ryan Boyle had an RBI single.

Gino Tarzia doubled, and Michael Mansour scored once for the Spartans.

Andrew Torres got the loss after allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Torres issued three walks and registered three strikeouts.

Ryan Severns went 3-for-5 with a two-run double and a pair of runs.

Jaeden Toki walked, singled, doubled and scored three runs.

Derick Kim drew a pair of walks and scored.

Josh Adams went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.

James Milam had an RBI single.

Angel Mejia walked, scored and drove in a pair of runs.

Frank Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.

Jaxson Milius singled in a run.

Jack Holguin doubled, and Luke Mendoza singled once in the win.
